Warning: Reading God’s Word and praying will reveal your greatest weaknesses, unveil hidden sins, and transform you into the person God intends you to be.
The Bible is the foundation for all that we do. Concerning prayer, it is God speaking to us. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
I want to prepare you for this Sunday as we look at “Prayer: How They Did It Part 3. We’ll look at Ruth, Obed, Jesse and David. As I am preparing I can’t escape the fact that God is calling us to a new plane of existence. Like a child climbing that giant metal slide at the playground for the first time. It’s terrifying to go that high, but Oh! the exhilaration of sliding down at speeds unimaginable!
As many of you are traveling, if you want to hear/watch the sermon I am now recording and uploading them to our Church Youtube Channel. You can find them under the ‘Media‘ tab on our website.
God Bless,
Allen
