Dear Church Family,
Today is an exciting day. My daughter Randi, gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Marianna Elizabeth. She and her husband, Joe, live in Denver. Tracy will be flying up from Scottsdale tomorrow and I’ll pick her up at the Denver airport.
For the last several months we’ve been trying to figure out what she will call us. We’ve settled on Poppop and Coco. My brother’s grandkids called him Poppop until he passed away 6 years ago. Coco is the term for grandparent in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We have dear friends from there.
Anyway, this Sunday we’ll continue in our series: Prayer: How They Did It. We’ll focus a little more on David and a lot in the Psalms. The Psalms are very instructive in teaching us how to praise, complain, worship, interpret history, help us understand the New Testament and more.
We’ll look at passages from 1 & 2 Samuel and of course, the Psalms.
