Dear Church Family,
This year is certainly unique to me as I have never been so intimately aware of the coming harvest time. Being in the valley and surrounded by fields of potatoes, barley, alfalfa and hay has made me appreciate how fragile life on earth really is.
If I remember correctly, it didn’t rain last year from October till about May and now it comes so often that it feels rather normal to me but I know it has frustrated our farmers. Last week I preached on “The Lord’s Prayer”. The section: “Give us this day our daily bread” is a first century and 21st century plea for God to provide for our needs today. So, tonight, give thanks for His provision.
This Fall I will be doing a series on the Gospel of Mark. We will inevitably discover more about our Savior. I look forward to digging into a very familiar gospel but open to learning many new things as well.
God Bless,
Allen
