Dear Church Family,
The “RedGreen Show” which aired on public television for years and now is easily found on Youtube focused on middle age men and their struggles.  It poked fun at men’s idiosyncrasies and hosted one section called The 3 Words that men find the hardest to say, “I Don’t Know”  I’ll admit it, I like to be in the know.  I certainly don’t like to be proven wrong.  The show always ends with The Man’s Prayer: “I’m a man, I can change, If I have to. I guess.” Humorous but only because there’s at least an ounce of truth in it.
In our passage this week, Mark 7, Jesus encounters 3 situations of prejudice.  People claiming to be in the know and getting in the way of the gospel message and His affirmation that the gospel is for all people.  There are striking similarities to today’s culture and attitudes.  People haven’t changed much in 2000 years.  Come prepared to be challenged in your way of thinking.  Be open to the possibility that you may have to change…..maybe….I guess.
God Bless,
Allen
