Dear Church Family,
The pictures attached to this email represents both the generosity of our church members and possibly some amount of misunderstanding. It appears that we have enough cups and plates to last until the rapture. Beth Watson, our new Office Manager, asked me if it would be okay to reorganize the closets in the fellowship hall. Sure! I said. Neither one of us guessed at what she would find.
Our passage this week is Mark 10. With any reading of the Gospels, it’s obvious to see that Jesus did not shy away from controversy. (By the way, controversy sounds much better when said with a British accent. Try it!) Picture Jesus cleaning out our church cupboards like He cleaned out the temple. 
We’ll discover Sunday that the Jewish people had taken God’s law and twisted it in ways that made it favor some over others. When in reality, God’s law and His grace are the great equalizers. He puts us all on the same playing field where no one has any advantage over another.
Come prepared on Sunday to look afresh at your life as it measures up against the values Jesus presents to us.
