Dear Church Family,

One of my Dad’s favorite Christmas gifts was an electronic gadget that had multiple voices on it saying “NO”.  For some reason he got a little ornery in his old age and “NO” became his favorite word.  Now, he didn’t even need to speak it.  He could just smile, point the device at the questioner and pull the trigger.
For some this is their image of God.  A cosmic killjoy.  Always waiting to shoot down any joy you might be concocting and ruin your day.  What we’ll learn on Sunday is that this is a far cry from the truth.  And yes, he does say “No” at times but as a good God, it’s because He has something better in mind for our good and His glory.
Our passage is Mark 5 and the sermon title is “When God Says No”.
I’m writing from Denver where Tracy is undergoing testing for future treatment.  If you’d like to follow her journey, we post occasionally to her CaringBridge Page @  https://www.caringbridge.org/site/22cc30e8-7517-11ef-99e5-bf504d4b5744?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web&utm_content=copylink_leftmenu_php
