Dear Church Family,

Is it possible to have “Good” conflict?  Most often conflict is seen as negative because someone is causing someone else aggravation.  But in order for change to occur a challenge to the status quo has to happen.  When that challenge doesn’t happen sometimes harm can continue.  For example, aggressive behavior remains because people are afraid to speak up. Or famously said in the church, “We’ve always done it that way” rules the day….and maybe it shouldn’t.
We will be looking at Mark 2 this week and it appears that the author lumped four episodes of conflict all together.  Interesting since this follows chapter 1 where Jesus established His authority.
So, what good came out of these instances?  On Sunday, we’ll see how Jesus challenged the authorities of His day for the benefit of the people…and you and me.
God Bless,
Allen
